DHARAMSHALA, August 25: The organizing committee of the 34th Kalachakra Initiation being led by the Central Tibetan Administration today announced the progress report and the facilities to be provided to the devotees attending the initiation from January 3 to 14, 2017 at Bodh Gaya, Bihar.

“It is very special in terms of Buddhist way of thinking and especially His Holiness’s way of thinking. Whenever he gives a teaching, his first and foremost concern is towards the wellbeing of the devotees regarding their comfort and accommodations,” Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Minister (Kalon) of Department of Religion and Culture, and Chairman of the organizing committee said.

The core committee includes Kalons of Security and Health, Abbot of Namgyal Monastery, a representative of Gaden Phodrang and secretaries of the three departments along with secretary of Finance Department as deputies to oversee the smooth organization of the initiation.

Since the attendance at the Kalachakra puja would likely cross the hundred thousand mark, the organizing committee assured a much better and tighter security firstly for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and for the well being of all the devotees.

“We would like to thank the government of Bihar and concerned officials at Gaya for all the importance and cooperation given to the committee for a fruitful organization and conclusion of the initiation,” Yuthok said.

The committee has also arranged a special initiative to finance the destitute, orphans, old ages and hermits who are financially incapable to attend the puja. So far, they have registered over 1,500 people, who will be under the care of CTA.

The chairman said that their efforts would be to make the initiation comfortable for all the devotees. However, he admits that there might be some difference in the way of organizing it.

“We are also planning to increase the number of entrance for the convenience of all the people attending in lakhs and the number of securities and volunteers at each gate to quicken the pace of frisking,” the chairman said.

Irrespective of the number, the organizing committee assured of all the facilities for Tibetans coming from Tibet. They would be under the care of Department of Security and would be specially accommodated near the teaching pavilion for more convenience.
