Dhumal promises funds for Dalai Lama's sermon
PTI[Wednesday, February 27, 2008 12:25]

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Tuesday said the state government would extend all help, including financial assistance, in holding a sermon programme by the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama at Kaza in June next.

Dhumal conveyed this to a Buddhist delegation from Lahaul-Spiti district.

The Tibetan spiritual leader would deliver sermons to devotees during Kalchakra ceremony.

Dhumal told the delegation headed by its chairman Ram Lal Markandey, BJP MLA from Lahual-Spiti, in Dharamsala that adequate arrangements would be made for boarding and lodging of the devotees many of whom would be from abroad, an official release said.

The Chief Minister said efforts would be made to fly helicopter services from Kaza-Delhi-Dharamsala and Shimla to help the devotees.
