Dalai Lama begins teaching for Koreans

Dharamsala, October 1: Over 200 devout Buddhists from Korea and several hundred westerners have congregated for a 5-day teaching on Buddhism by Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness today began giving teachings on Nagarjuna's Commentary on Boddhicitta (jangchup semdrel) and Kamalashila's Middle Stages of Meditation (gomrim barpa) at the request of a group of Koreans here at the Thekchen Choeling Tsuglagkhang (main temple).

The teachings are scheduled to be held in the morning from 0815hrs to 1130hrs.

The teaching attendees will engage in discourse with Tibetan Buddhist scholars in the evening.

Dharamsala is the seat of the Dalai Lama led Tibetan Government-in-Exile.
