Tibetan Movie Screened in Various Colleges in Meerut

Anterrashtriya Bharat-Tibet Sahyog Samiti based in Meetut in association with Department of Information and International Relations and India Tibet Coordination Office organized a program to screen Tibetan movies like Compassion in Exile, (dubbed in Hindi Language) Cry of the Snow Lion and Red Flag over Tibet in Meerut from September to November 2006.

Approximately 10,000 students viewed the movies and it was screened at 33 educational institutions, which consists of 2 major technical institutions, which are Subharti Medical College and Indian Institute of Management and Technology, 5 Degree Colleges and 26 Intermediate Colleges.

Principles of various Inter College and Degree College appreciate the showing of documentary movies on Tibet. Many students were sympathized with the issue of Tibet. Students were very keen and interested and few students requested to make them available with few books on Tibet so that they can read and know in-depth about the problem of Tibet.

This project was the brainchild of Shri. K.B. Bakshi, President Anterrashtriya Bharat-Tibet Sahyog Samiti and National Co-convener, Core Group for Tibetan Cause. This project was successfully concluded with the hard work of Mr. Bakshi, Dr. D.K. Pal, General Sectetary, ABTSS and Mr. K.B. Sharma secretary ABTSS.

Tibetan Medical and Astrology Institute, Meerut rendered its assistant by providing driver and other assistants, which was made possible by Dr. Lobsang, Tibetan Medical and Astro Institute, Mr. Choeyang, Staff DIIR, Mr. Tsering Dorjee, Coordinator ITCO, Mr. Tenzin Dawa, Assistant Coordinator ITCO, Mr. Namgyal Tsewang staff ITCO, and Mr. Gelek Namgyal staff ITCO, also rendered their assistant in screening a movie.
