Vegetarianism Campaigner in Jaipur
Sent by Email[Friday, December 09, 2005 19:51]
Lobsang Wangdak

Jaipur-Equipped with a VCDs and few literatures in an old suit case he came to Jaipur in a second-class sleeper train for the cause of saving lives. He has traveled far and wide, met the old and the rich, spoke to thousands of young and the old, and probably seen a behemoth of horror when innocent animals are butchered to satisfy few minutes’ appetite. Instilling emotions and evoking compassion has become his daily work. And he is now on a visit to Tibetan Sweater sellers in Gurgaon and Jaipur, the two big cities of India, where the largest number of Tibetan sweater sellers make their living. I am talking about Rapsel Tsariwa who is fighting this noble campaign of vegetarianism with the help of few volunteers now and then and contributing whatever little things and effort he could make towards the voiceless animals. The non-profit, non-government organization is named Tibetan Volunteers for Animal (TVA) and is registered under the societies registration act 1960. All the activities and campaign of TVA is available on the organization’s official website (www.loveanimal.org). He has actually opened his office in Bangalore for few months, novice that he is; he has to switch to Mysore to make ends meet.

Last year he produced ten thousand magazines titled Semchen and more than 10000 Video CDs titled 'Love and Mercy'. He received huge support and accolades from the general public. Many a times people cried to tears watching the video which show animals being mercilessly butchered. That, he think, shows men are not born heartless but it has to be reminded sometimes, to realize the value of life and living in harmony with the nature. This time Mr Rapsel has produced another video which includes many inspiring interviews, heart touching advices from doctors and great lamas and also shows the horror and drudgery the animals go through before becoming a piece of apparel or a heap of food in our plates.

If you need inspiration and a little push to help you stop eating meat then the upcoming video is the solution. I promise you!! The video titled 'Law of Nature' will be released on the first day of the Kalachakra in Amarawati and the clippings of which are shown to the audience of Jaipur and Gurgaon, and will be premiered in Chandigarh for college students. This time he has stressed and requested the Tibetan audience of two cities and all the Tibetans all over the world to make this upcoming Kalachakra a special and auspicious by not consuming any meat. Many of the audience stunned and repented, I think, for having eaten meat all their life and decided to quit meat for the rest of their life. From the audience of Jaipur and Gurgaon 13 men has pledged to be vegetarian throughout their life and many more has promised to be more soft and loving to animals there on.
