The Pavilion of Tibetan Culture
His Holiness the Dalai Lama first visited Pondicherry and Auroville in 1973. On January 17, 1973, he met the Mother in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

Twenty years later, on December 23 and 24, 1993, the Tibetan leader paid his second visit to Auroville to lay the foundation stone of the Pavilion.

This will be his third visit to Auroville.

Auroville is a universal town where men and women of all countries can live in peace and progressive harmony above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity.
