New Delhi, May 20: Youth Liberation Front of Tibet (YLFT), a young enigmatic Indian Tibet support group from Katewara, led a peaceful rally starting at 11:00am here today from Ram Lila Maidan to Jantar Mantar, after crossing Ranjeet Singh flyover via Tolstoy marg, calling for the boycott of Beijing Olympics 2008.

The group also demanded formal apology from China for its recent claim over Tawang as being part of China, and termed the claim as illegitimate.

Members of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) and Tibetan volunteers also joined the rally.

President of YLFT Mr Narendra Chaudhary urged all the Olympic participant nations to boycott Beijing Olympic 2008 until the Communist China meets certain conditions.

To hold the Olympics, Mr Narendra said that China should immediately stop violation of Human Rights inside Tibet and release all the political prisoners in Tibet, especially the Eleventh Panchen Lama. He also demanded Chinese authorities to hold earnest negotiation with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Tibet issue.

Dr. K.C. Agnihotri, (National Convener of BTSM) who just came back from Belgium after attending the International Tibet Support Group Conference held at Brussels, too called for “Boycott Beijing Olympics 2008”.

The rally ended at 3:00 in the evening with word of thanks from General Secretary of YLFT, Mr.Vishal.
