Panchen Lama’s Birthday observed in Delhi

New Delhi April 25: More than three hundred tibetans gathered at Jantar Mantar this morning to observe the 20th birthday of 11th Panchen Lama, Tenzin Gendun Yeshi Thinley Yeshi Thinley Phuntsok Pal Sangpo.

The event, organised by the Resident welfare Association of Samyeling Tibetan Colony, commenced with the offering of prayers by monks from Tashi Lhunpo monastery, official seat of the Panchen Lamas. people and of Tibet.

The chief guest for the occasion was Kalon Tempa Tsering, representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the Indian capital.

Dr N. K Trikha, convenor of the Core Group for Tibetans, Mr. Indresh, Patron Bharat Tibbet Sahyog Manch. Youdon aukatsang, Tibetan MP; Choekyong Wangchuk, Tibetan MP; Dorjee Wangdue Dewatsang, Tibetan MP; were also present.

Members of Resident welfare Association, RTWA, Tibetan market association of Budh Vihar and Majnu ka Tilla also took part in the event.
