About 20 demonstrators have unfurled a Tibetan flag outside the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok to protest at Beijing’s crackdown on anti-government protests in Tibet.

The protesters called on Beijing to “immediately stop the killing and human rights abuses” in Tibet and urged the Thai Olympics Committee to reassess its participation in the Beijing Olympic Games, a statement from organisers said.

“Beijing Game Over – Free Tibet,” read one sign carried at the peaceful protest, which lasted about an hour under light security.

The protest was one of many staged outside Chinese diplomatic missions around the world since Chinese authorities cracked down on several days of protests inside Tibet last week.
