Edinburgh – A DOCUMENTARY about the Dalai Lama’s visit to Edinburgh in 2004 is to get its world premiere as part of Inter-Faith Week.
The Thistle and the Lotus: When the Heart of Tibet met the Spirit of Scotland, will be shown at the Filmhouse on Sunday.
Executive producer Victor Spence said: “I have watched this film over a dozen times, and each time it never fails to move me.
“I will never forget the expressions on people’s faces when they saw him or had the opportunity to shake his hand.”
City tycoon Sir Tom Farmer will give a special address following the 1pm screening about his experience of the visit. The Dalai Lama returned to the city last year.
