New Delhi, November 21 – Four Tibetan students were detained near the venue of the India-China talks here Tuesday as they chanted slogans seeking Tibet’s freedom and denouncing Chinese President Hu Jintao.

A police spokesman told IANS that the boys tried to unfurl the Tibetan flag, but were taken away from near the Hyderabad House to the nearest police station.

When the Tibetans made their sudden appearance, the Indian and Chinese delegations were having official talks at the Hyderabad House, a stately mansion located near India Gate.

It was the second protest of its kind in New Delhi, where Hu arrived Monday evening on a four-day visit.

Three Tibetan students of Delhi University were detained in south Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan area when they shouted anti-China slogans near a road that Hu took to reach his hotel from the airport.
