A documentary on Tibet’s lost kingdom of Guge will be made by Off the Fence, a Dutch independent production and distribution company in cooperation with France 5, Bang Singapore and the Media Development Authority of Singapore, reported Antony Reeve-Crook of C21 media July 12.
Shooting for the one-hour investigative documentary on the mysterious disappearance of the 17th century Tibetan kingdom is underway and is expected to be released this October. The makers of the documentary has claimed that it will be “visually spectacular.”
The co-production is directed by Patrick Fleming, who has production credits for Channel 4, ITV and Five in the UK, as well as Discovery, National Geographic and TVC.
The report quoted Man Shu Sum, director of broadcast and film at the Media Development Authority of Singapore as saying that Singapore was well-placed to create compelling documentaries for the global audience and that Bang’s expertise would showcase Singapore’s production capabilities to the world.
