Agartala, June 25 (PTI): Exiled Buddhist religious leader, Dalai Lama will pay four day’s visit to Tripura in the first week of January, next year, official sources said here today.
Sources in Dharmadipa school, a buddhist school at Manubankul in South Tripura district today said a fax message from the ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi was received by the secretary of the school, Ven.Dharmadipa Virmu on June 22 last, confirming the visit of the religious leader.
Sources said earlier the school authority invited Dalai Lama to inaugurate the fifth foundation day of the school to be held in January next at Manubankul, a nondescript village in Sabroo sub-division of South Tripura district where the majority are buddhists.
The religious leader during his four day stay will address number of gathering and speak about world peace and harmony.
