New Delhi – The outcome of Fifth round visit of delegation of the representatives of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Govt. in- exile to China for initiating negotiations between two will come out with fruitful result. The gesture of Chinese Government for inviting Dalai lama for pilgrimage into China is a positive sign towards the resolution of Tibetan problems. This view was expressed by Mr. Tempa Tsering, New Delhi Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama during the Delhi state conference of India- Tibet Friendship Society held at Shri T.N.Vajpayee Memorial Hall, Northern Railways Men’s Association, New Delhi. He was speaking on a topic “Tibet-Sino Dialogue: Progress and Prospects”. He also highlighted the situation in which Tibetans came India and continued their struggle for justice. According to him, India is path finder for them and Dalai Lama is follower of Mahatma Gandhi. He further highlighted the world wide support to Tibetan movement and expressed his hope for immediate solution of Tibetan issue with the Government of People’s Republic of China.

The conference was inaugurated by Shri Satya Prakash Malviya( Former Union Minister). In his inaugural address he highlighted the concept of self-Rule as described by Ms Anne Basent during India’s freedom struggle. According to her, those who all born in world have right to choose their ruler according to their choice. He further state that not any small Nation even communities can be suppressed for a long time. He says that Dalai Lama’s demand for independence was in favor of China, Tibet and India. His demand has changed according to time and circumstances which also in favor of China, Tibet and India. His demand of genuine autonomy to Tibetans with five peace point will help the inhabitants of Asia. The conference was chaired by Prof. Anand Kumar ( National General Secretary, ITFS) and it was convened by Mrs. Renu Gambhir and Dr. Manoj Kumar ( National Orgn. Secy, ITFS)

The conference has passed the resolution by criticizing the continuous cultural genocide, religious rights and environmental destruction in Tibet. Conference appreciated TGIE efforts for establishing contact with People’s Republic of China but at the same time, it also highlighted the dangers of being more reliable on PRC.

Conference has elected following member for Delhi chapter under the vigilance of National Organising Secretary.
