Dharamshala June 17 – A three day meeting of the Task Force on Negotiation will be held in New Delhi from 20 –22 June.
The last meeting was held in at Gopalpur TCV school in December last year. The Kashag also started a separate office for the Task on Negotiation under its secretariat. The new unit will work as a secretariat for the TFN. Its main function will be to provide logistics to the TFN which grew from a five-member team to ten-member team with inclusion of Kasur Tempa Tsering, Kasur Tashi Wangdi, Mevo Gonpo Tso, a former Domed deputy, Dawa Tsering, head of the China Desk of the Department of Information and International Relations, and Dr. Kunchok Tsundue, Chief Planning Officer of the CTA’s Planning Commission.
After revival of ties with Beijing in 2002 and the three subsequent visits of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s envoys to China and areas of Tibet in the following years, the Tibetan exile government has geared up its efforts, as guided by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, to build a strong foundation for talks with the government of People’s Republic of China.
