BEIJING, January 11 – Fourteen people were killed and 29 injured on Sunday when a bus ran off a road in southwestern China and plunged 20 feet into a gully, authorities said.
The accident happened in Aba , a Tibetan prefecture in China ‘s Sichuan province, according to the official Xinhua News Agency.
The bus from Garze, another Tibetan prefecture, was traveling on Highway 317 toward Chengdu , the provincial capital, when it ran off the road. Fifteen of the injured were reported in critical condition, Xinhua said.
