Tibetan Youth Congress awareness program title “Tibet and India security” was the topic of week at most of the colleges in Mysore to discuss among the faculties and students, how their can pool up efforts and moral support to Tibetan cause in contest to Indian’s long lasting peace and security.
The principals and faculty members are the real source of inspiration and moral boost to have successful awareness program at Teresian College for Women, St. Philomena’s College and JSS women’s college and encourage the Tibetan students in the respective college to access all those available avenues in the colleges to highlight Tibetan issue and culture in the colleges.
The three hundred thoughtful audience of Thiessen women’s college was so wonderfully touch by the presentation of Captain Raj Gopal (Group Captain Indian Air Force) he taken the audience to the gallery of those tragedy and wounds Indian has to face of 1962 Chinese attack and collapsed of Tibet as buffer state. Miss Domla Choemphel of TYC stresses the need of urgent joint action from Indian and Tibetan to Tibet and Indian security. The audience was also enlightened with the screening of Tibetan documentary movie show.
The second day program was held at JSS women’s College for three hour long with presence of college principal and Economic Professor of Mysore University Mr. K.C. Basavarabu as the key speaker of the program. The principal of college address the 1000 students of JSS College to share and extend their moral support and solidarity for Tibetan independence in contest with Indian security. The key speaker exposed to the student about the threat the Indian and south Asian countries have to face with occupation of roof of the world and cautious the student to form group opinion and appeal the local MLA to consider about Indian security with Tibet issue. The information Secretary of TYC Mr. Jigme Ghadong expressed the dual role of present Tibetan generation to restore Tibet’s independence and equally responsible to safe guard Indian security since present generation are brought up and refuge in India. It was followed by Tibetan documentary movie and question answer session. The feedback of the huge audience can be feel through their expression of support and solidarity through poems and letters.
The awareness program was also held successful at auditorium of St. Philomena’s college with presence of 400 college professors and students. The principal of the St. Philomena’s college advised those 24 Tibetan students in the college to initiate same awareness program and mobilize more support for Tibetan cause in the college. The large no of leaflets and poster title “Tibet and India security” was also distributed among different colleges.
