Tibetan Awareness Program II Covers Kerala & Mangalore

Awareness program started under the title “Tibet & India’s Security” organised by the Tibetan Youth Congress covered Kerala and Mangalore after the Dharwad Karnataka University with different types of program in different areas. In Kerala more than 1000’s of leaflet were distributed in different colleges of Trichur on the 28th November and at the same time was done a press conference at Cochin Press Club where more than 35 media people including the 3 Television reporters covered the theme of awareness program.

In Mangalore during the music program of the Aletious College on 4th Dec., we were able distribute many information leaflets where there were more than 1500 students gathered. Met with the college Principal and had interaction about the Tibetan issue and how in future we are going to work together to make a big program in college. Principle has allotted to keep the information leaflets and other materials in the college library. Where ever the awareness program has held till now met with the Principles of each college and was able to keep information on Tibet in the Libraries for the first time.

On the 5th December in the afternoon, a program was held in the Srinivas College of Hotel Management. The Registrar of the College made the presence during the talk along with about 100 students in the BCA classroom. Miss Dolma Choephel, Joint Secretary of Tibetan Youth Congress made a presentation for 30 minutes relating to the Tibet issue with the direct relation to the India’s security detailing the Border issues and its expenses, Diversion of Brahmaputra which flows about 2057 Kilometers in Tibet as Yarlung Tsangpo before following into India, Railway line and its impact on the Indian Cottage industries etc. The talk was followed by the Documentary film “Tibet Cry of Snow Lion” and further was done interactions among the audience.

Crossing through different Indian Youths and especially in the college campus during the Awareness Program have drawn a lot more friends for the Tibetan issue in the interest of India’s Security and Asia in general. More Programs in the colleges of Bangalore, Chennia, Mysore with eminent speakers are coming up and many of the Colleges have kindly consented the permission to do the program with every facility the college have.

Give your hands for FREE TIBET which is not only issue of the survival of Tibetans alone but indirectly with the security of Asia in general and India in particular.
