Creating art one grain at a time
A&M students watch as a trio of Tibetian monks make intricate designs with grains of sand at the MSC Tuesday afternoon during the Mandala Sand Painting taking place there this week. After they complete the painting, the monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Tibet will dismantle and disperse the painting Friday, honoring Buddhist beliefs in the temporary aspect of nature.
